Oyo 2019: Egbeda Community Endorses Sugar, Sadare, Other ADP Candidates

The chances of some candidates of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, in the 2019 elections got boosted yesterday as members of Owo Baale community of Egbeda local government endorsed their aspirations.

Apart from Hon. Wasiu Olawale Sadare, who is contesting the Egbeda State constituency seat in the Oyo State House of Assembly, they also endorsed Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, ADP gubernatorial candidate; Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, ADP Oyo Central senatorial candidate and Akinwande Akinleye, who is the party’s house of Representatives candidate for Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency. 

Sadare, who is the immediate past public relations officer of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, had led many ADP chieftains which Alhaji Isiaka Alimi, Chief Goke Oyetunji, Hon. Lawrence Olujide Adewale, Hon. Hammed Abiodun, Hon. Festus Slade (Macadof) who represented Adebayo Alao-Akala, Hon. Wale Aderibigbe (Posit), Mrs Julianna Adegbuyi and others to the community he hails from.

Speaking at the event, traditional rulers, leaders of thought as well as community leaders and other stakeholders took turns to eulogize Sadare who they referred to as their golden son. Sadare had, few months ago, renovated blocks of classrooms in one of the community schools.

An obviously elated Sadare would later thank his kinsmen, promising not to let them down if he is elected.

Sugar, who currently represents Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, condemned APC government of Governor Abiola Ajimobi over the neglect of the area in terms of infrastructural facilities.

He also expressed concerns over the poor condition of Egbeda-Lalupon road in particular.
