The member representing Oyo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in the National Assembly, Hon. Prince Adeyemi Akeem Skimeh, on Saturday, 11th August, 2018, officially declared his intention to seek a second term in office.
This was done in the presence of party leaders, stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo town.
Adeyemi, while reeling his account of stewardship, thanked all the party faithful and the good people of Oyo Federal Constituency for their continual support since his assumption of duties as a federal legislator.
Stating further, he informed the gathering that, in spite of paucity of fund and scarcity of resources, a lot was achieved within the span of three years. He mentioned sponsoring of bills and motions, facilitation of projects, provision of employment opportunities, awards of scholarship, vocational training, financial empowerment among other achievements.
While expressing their satisfaction on the account of stewardship of Adeyemi, one of the party leaders, Chief Akin Ojebode, pledged his support and the support of all the party faithful in Oyo Federal Constituency for the realisation of Adeyemi’s second term bid.
He urged members to be committed and remain steadfast; as a support for Hon. Adeyemi will translate to deliverance of more dividends of democracy.
Adeyemi later informed of his grand declaration of intention on the final day of Ogo-Oyo Soccer Competition that will be held on 22nd of August, 2018, at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo.
