Former governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola was yesterday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to further talks on the possibility of his former colleague- Oloye Rashidi Ladoja to join the newly formed African Democratic Congress, ADC.
A source who confirmed the development to OYO INSIGHT exclusively disclosed that “the possibility of Ladoja joining ADC is high.”
Former secretary to the state government, Chief Adeniyi Koleoso, Chief Titilola Awakan are also on their way to ADC, the source added.
Efforts by Oyo Insight to reach Ladoja for reaction proved abortive. One of his loyalists, who preferred anonymity, however, told this medium that since the last one month, Ladoja and Koleoso have met more than three times.
Since November last year, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where Ladoja is the leader, has been enmeshed in leadership crisis as the party held factional congresses to elect Excos of the party.
The party was factionalized along Ladoja and Seyi Makinde factions.
Not long ago, after many weeks of disagreement, the party decided to harmonize the Excos list, a development that affected Ladoja’s camp as the secretary of the party, Wasii Emiola was replaced with Wasiu Adeleke of Makinde’s faction.
Ladoja later protested the decision but it is yet to be addressed.
