An Ibadan-based Housing Estate Developer, Mr Niyi Oyekunle, popularly known and called Niyi Oyeks has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for nominating the immediate past governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as minister.
According to Niyi Oyeks, as he is fondly called, who hails from Ibokun of Obokun Local Govt, State of Osun said the appointment is well deserved.
OYO INSIGHT recalls that Buhari has nominated Aregbesola, who was governor for 8 years, as Osun nominee.
In a statement by Niyi Oyeks, “By nominating Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, President Buhari has made the right choice. He will contribute in no small way to the success of the administration. He is known for performance. Maybe because of his background, he has always been committed to the good of the majority. Anything he touches becomes gold. He is a known performer.
“As commissioner in Lagos, we know all he did; how he revolutionized infrastructural development in the state. He is not someone who handles development with levity. In Osun, he did wonderfully well that he has become a sort of a model for serving governors within and outside the country. What he put in place in Osun will continue to make headline. Osun will continue to be grateful to him. If not for anything, Osun is known for solid infrastructure, educational advancement and low unemployment rate. These are possible because of the revolution Ogbeni performed in Osun.
“Apart from all these, Ogbeni, especially from his undergraduate days, has been loyal to anything he believes. Nobody can say that Ogbeni has ever been disloyal. Even if he finds himself in a minority camp, he is okay and he can fight that cause with the last drop of blood in him. That is the Ijesha spirit,” Oyeks noted, adding that he cannot wait for the Ilesa-born engineer to resume work.
