OWU DAY: Kola-Daisi In Attendance, Lauds Its People’s Contribution To Development

    On Saturday, Oyo state capital Ibadan hosted the 2023 edition of the Owu-Ibadan Annual Festival, and Mr. Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Accord’s candidate in Oyo South in the 2023 general elections, was there to commend and celebrate with the sons and daughters of Owu kingdom.

    This event, held at Aafin Baale Olugbode, was presided over by former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

    In a statement made available to newsmen, Kola-Daisi wrote, “With over 300 households of descendants of Owu progenitors who call Ibadan home, I celebrate my brothers and sisters of the Olugbode Royal family, who came together under the umbrella of the Royal Union of Owu People in Ibadan’ to commemorate the Owu Day today.

    He added, “It was a pleasure joining them at a place I also call home, the Aafin Baale Olugbode in Ibadan NorthEast, to celebrate the rich heritage, history and continued contribution of these great people to the development of our state.

    “While I relished this opportunity to interact again with my people, I express profound gratitude for the fantastic reception I enjoyed as always.

    The yearly festival is observed by all Owu descendants in Ibadan from far and wide.
