Caretaker Chairman, Ibadan South West Local Government | Willful Lying to Mislead the Public
It has come to our notice that you appeared on a Yoruba program, Jénwí Tèmi, on Space 90.1 FM, today, Friday, between the hours of 9am to 11am and you were alleged to have wilfully lied that the immediate past administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi neither repaired nor constructed a single road in Ibadan South West local government area. This is a glaring and blatant lie told by you with impunity to mislead the members of the public, especially the good people of Ibadan South West local government area. It’s however essential to set the records of road repair and construction during the last administration straight.
Be reminded, sir, that the road from Mobil to Wema-Apata reconstructed by the administration of Senator Abiola Ajimobi is located in Ibadan South West local government area. The said hitherto narrow road was widely and solidly reconstructed with deep drainages on both sides. Since the road has been reconstructed, traffic build-ups and snail-speed movement of vehicles have become a thing of the past in the axis.
It’s also important to juggle your memory, sir, that three caretaker chairmen were appointed at different times by Senator Abiola Ajimobi to oversee the affairs of the local government before a duly elected executive chairman took over. Between the three caretaker chairmen and the executive chairman, more than 1000 roads were repaired, reconstructed and constructed across the local government area. The three caretaker chairmen appointed by Senator Abiola Ajimobi included Mr Taoreed Bolaji Adeleke (Titao), Alhaji Rafiu Adekola Folarin and Mr Gbenga Opaleye. The local government election organized by the last administration produced Mr Taoreed Bolaji Adeleke as the executive chairman of Ibadan South West local government. These caretaker chairmen and the executive chairman executed the largest road projects in the history of the local government. The records are there for the public to verify!

2. In front of Baba Sahara’s house at Oluyole
3. Jericho/Alalubosa road after Labod Event center, Alesinloye
4. Alesinloye Market Roads
5. Idi Ishin-Nihort road
6. Road behind Leemy Building,
7. Aresa road at Oke Ado,
8.Joyce ‘B’ Road
9.Sharp Corner- NTC Road-Liberty Junction and many others space and time will not allow us to mention.
Sir, it is disingenuous on your part to go on air and tell such irresponsible lie over road projects done by the last administration and which are being plied by the good people of the local government daily, having saved them the stress and pain that roads in disrepair state could have brought upon them.
We implore you to eschew irresponsible opposition and face governance without malicious intents towards APC and Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
