A WITTY REVIEW, DISCLAIMER AND RESPONSE TO THE OPEN LETTER WRITTEN TO YOUR EXCELLENCY WITH REGARDS TO ARESA-ADU STOOL
We the Kingmakers of Aresa of Iresaadu are aware that Oshunbiyi ruling House is entitled to have meetings and present to us the candidate or candidates of their choice as the case may be for proper nomination, selection and presentation for appointment as Aresa of Iresadu.
However, we have found falsehood in its entirety in the publication dated 13th May 2024 tagged “OYO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND TRAVESTY OF JUSTICE” addressed to your Excellency. It is pertinent to state that the judgement of the court in HOI/4/2019 gave the floor for the suspension of all nomination, selection and approval processes from Oshunbiyi Ruling House to fill the vacant stool of Aresa of Iresaadu stool. Find attach a copy of the Judgement of the court.
Your Excellency, the issue as to the struckout case at the High Court 2, Ogbomoso is unknown to us and we were never informed of the pendency of same before struckout as captured in the open letter and as well as the letter from the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice showing prince Abraham Olafimihan Adeyeye Oyerinde consideration and approval was never served on us and we are oblivious of such letter.
Your Excellency, the aforesaid open letter lacks merit, has no element of truth and same should be treated as misleading.
We the Kingmakers states and confirms that Aresa of Iresadu stool remain vacate and it is a clear coast for us to activate the power vested in us as enshrined in Aresa of Iresaadu Chieftaincy Declaration 1989 to nominate, select and present the candidate of choice for appointment.
We the Kingmakers of Aresa of Iresadu stool urge your Excellency to aid us in expediting action in the nomination, selection and presentation of the successive candidate to fill the vacant stool of Aresa of Iresadu and that we assure your Excellency that expedient procedures and protocols shall be observed in the nomination, selection and presentation for the appointment of Aresa of Iresaadu stool.
