The Chairman of Maigida Charity Foundation , Dr. Samson Adewale Adegoke has expressed sadness over the death of the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State.
Recall that Omodewu, a former Commissioner in Oyo State, died in the United States earlier this week.
In a statement made available to the press on Tuesday evening, Maigida as Dr Samson Adewale Adegoke is fondly called, described Omodewu as an outstanding personality who lived to make a difference.
“To say I was shocked by the news of his death is an understatement. He lived an impactful life and this is evident in the positive impacts he made on the lives of everyone who came into contact with him.
“As a grassroots politician, the deep love he enjoys from his people is a product of the selfless contributions to the growth of his immediate community and the State at large.
“His diplomatic and leadership attributes also set him apart from others and this is evident in how he has positively steered the affairs of Oyo State over the last few years,” he wrote in the statement.
He also prayed that the Almighty grant Omodewu’s family, associates, and people of Oyo State the fortitude to bear the impact of his death.
