Ilelabayo Bamidele, candidate of Labour Party, LP, for Oluyole federal constituency, has accused his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, AbdulMojeed Mogbonjubola, of sending his boys to tear his posters.

In a statement by his media aide, Jeje Ibukun, he described as barbaric and demeaning the alleged act by the immediate past former deputy chief of staff to ‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State.

But in a chat with Jagaban, as Mogbonjubola is popularly known, he laughed, saying that he doesn’t know the LP candidate and never a threat to him.

“Almost 5 people have called me and I was just laughing. If I didn’t tear posters belonging to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Accord candidates, why should I do such to that of LP? It is just sad. You too can think about it. I am just hearing the name for the first time. He isn’t in the race. If he has any evidence, he should bring it out,” he added.

Ilelabayo’s statement reads further: A SHOW OF SHAME AND DEMEANING DISPLAY OF POLITICAL INTOLERANCE BY Mr. Mogbonjubola Olawale Mojeed Onilere (Jagaban) and PDP

Our attention has been drawn to the dastardly and barbaric display of Mr. Mogbonjubola Onilere (Jagaban), the former  Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo state Government, who incidentally, is contesting as a candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party PDP as their candidate for the Federal House of Reps in the 2023.

We watch in awe a video which is already in circulation where a supposedly custodian of law and a PDP chieftain who is to at all times maintain public decorum but unfortunately seen in the said video with his PDP political hutchins tearing down the posters of Hon. Ilelabayo BAMIDELE of the Labour party who is also a contender to the same political office; it is further embarrassing to us who watched the video and the first hand witnesses who were standing by when all these show of hooliganism and threatenings were carried out by Mogbonjubola himself.

According to the scenes in the video, it was evidently clear that Mr. Mogbonjubola was ready and prepared to go the gutter way as he was sighted in casual wears not too speakable of a well deserving public officer who should occupy an office of a Deputy Chief of Staff.

We know days like this will surely come as it is the political pattern of the PDP from inception but it is appalling that this present government and governance of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde has finally crowned the thuggery abilities of the PDP as a party and its members especially from its political echelons which Mr. Mogbonjubola Onilere (Jagaban) is one.

We however wish to state emphatically clear that we are not disturbed or deterred by this low based attitude of PDP, as Labour Party is here to stay , get the the political mandate across board in 2023 especially now that the Oluyole people have clearly made and continually make their preferred choice of Hon. Ilelabayo BAMIDELE who has been seen since his first attempt in 2019 as a potential, useful and well cultured son of the land to represent them well as the Federal Honourable at the House of Representatives in Abuja.

We therefore call on all useful and obidient people of Oluyole Lg to be law-abiding, and go about their lawful and normal daily endeavors as we will, and shall always respond to Mr. Mogbonjubola and PDP through all legal and media means to re-address their abnormalities.
