The lawmaker representing Oluyole federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunbo Olugbemi has congratulated Engr. Seyi Makinde over his victory at the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Oyo State.
This is just as the African Democratic Congress, ADC, legislator, commiserated with the family of his late colleague, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, who was murdered on election day.
The voice of the people of Oyo state as expressed in the March 9th, 2019 gubernatorial election was louder enough that even the deaf could understand that Engr. Seyi Makinde is well accepted.
This acceptance no doubt is traceable to unblemished track records, impressive antecedents, humility, forthrightness, passion for the downtrodden, fear of God and respect for human dignity which are attribute of Governor Elect.
That I aligned with my party directives and work assiduously with my group to deliver every polling unit in Oluyole Local government with an unprecedented margin is to identify with the Philantropic nature and the ability of Engr. Makinde to really address the situation of down- trodden and indigent people of the state and not a display of bitterness in politics.
However, the overwhelming victory of Engr Makinde across every zones in Oyo state is a confirmation of the fact that #teamOlugbemi has a good sense of judgement in choosing the best for Oyo state.
On behalf of #TeamOlugbemi, I hereby wish to congratulate the new Governor Elect, Engr Seyi Makinde on his landmark victory at the polls. This is indeed a victory for Oyo state masses.
While I pray for divine wisdom, God’s guidance and an auction to function, I wish to commend the good people of Oyo state in general and particularly good people of Oluyole for their resilience, doggedness and resolve to install a government that has welfare of the masses as its priority.
I also wish to commiserate with the people of Lagelu/Akinyele Federal Constituency on the unfortunate death of a colleague Hon Olatoye Temitope Sugar who was gruesomely murdered sequel to election violence and family of people that lost their lives in the process, may the Lord grant them eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
It is my belief that the authorities will fish out the perpetrators of such dastardly act and make them to face the wrath of law.
