OLUBADAN: He Was Peace-loving — Makinde’s CoS Pays Tribute

    The Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, has described the death of Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, as a great loss to the people of Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

    Ogunwuyi emphasized that Oba Adetunji’s death was a rude shock to him, adding that the monarch left behind many outstanding legacies which are worthy of emulation.

    “He will surely be missed for his outstanding leadership qualities and human management skills” he disclosed.

    According to Ogunwuyi, “Baba facilitated massive human development, not only in Ibadan land, but Oyo State and the entire country.

    “His genuine efforts to bring peace to Ibadan land and ensure unity of indigenes within and in the diaspora” were always appreciated.

    “The late royal father was also known for his entrepreneurial activities since his youthful age; this was not only felt in Oyo state but the entire country.

    “I condole with His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde and other sons and daughters of Ibadan land, Oyo State Traditional Council, friends, families, and well-wishers of the late royal father. May God grant him aljana firdaus.
