A construction magnate and prominent indigene of Oyo township, Omo’ba Tunde Ologuro has described the announcement of the construction of Iseyin – Oyo Road by Governor Seyi Makinde has a welcome development that would tremendously transform the economic landscape of Oyo State.
Ologuro, in a press release on Saturday, hailed Governor Makinde for his visionary thinking in opening up the road in the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State because of the agro-business potentials that is inherent in the zone.
“Leadership is about visionary thinking and the ability to remain focused. Governor Makinde has been consistent with his position that the future of Oyo State’s economy is in agriculture. We all know that the Oke-Ogun zone is the hub of agric business in the entire Southwest zone of the country.
“The announcement of the construction of a road network linking all major townships in Oyo State to Iseyin is a major accomplishment and we must specially thank the Governor for his dream.
“The Governor has also proven that when there is a will, there will be a way. Irrespective of the fact that the road in question is a federal road and the current federal government has declined responsibilities to repay Oyo State for monies spent on the project is a clear indication that our Governor is firm with his commitment to uplift the economic status of Oyo State against all odds,” Ologburo said.
He says further that “with rebirth that is happening in Oyo State, it is not in doubt that our dear State is geared for the opportunity of making a fortune in the agricultural sector and our youths should be prepared to take up the challenge.”
