Olatubosun Asks Ibadan North West Traders To Support Makinde

A stalwart and the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC for Ibadan North West / South West federal constituency in the last general elections, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun has reiterated his undiminished commitment towards human and community development at the grassroot.
He reiterated the avowal on Saturday at the 4th annual Ramadan lecture organized by As-Shaykh Al-Imam Olori – Aje Memorial Central Mosque, Oke Padre.
Olatubosun made the reassurance to the people of his constituency of unquenched passion touching their well-being while delivering his keynote address as the Chairman of the occasion.
At the gathering which was predominantly dominated by the residents of Ibadan North West local government, traders and the executive officers of traders’ association in Ogunpa market, he pledged to be more committed to the service of people regardless of the current political configurations.
He availed the medium to sound his indignation over the punitive prices asked for the reallocation of shops and stalls of the reconstructed popular Ogunpa Oyo market by the immediate past government against the enabling template packaged by his administration at helms of the council.
He therefore promised to work hand in hand with the newly installed executive officers of the market led by Mr. Isaac Folorunso in ensuring an outright review of the process leading to the award of the contract works as to assuaging the agonies of the hapless traders at any given opportunity.
Olatubosun subsequently implored the inhabitants of the state to cooperate with the new administration being piloted by Engr. Seyi Makinde to bettering the lots of all and sundry in the state mostly in the social, economic and physical infrastructures.
In his sermon of the lecture titled Justice and Equity: The Antidote to Good Governance, Prof. Abdul-Afeez Ayinde Oladosu, the Dean of Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan urged the moslem umah to ensure prevalence of fairness among everyone one.
The Islamic scholar who in consonance with the series of Qur’anic and hadith verses, posited that for our society to be ideally safe all and sundry regardless of nature privileges must prioritize equity and fairness in every endeavor of life.
The lecture program which was nearly disrupted by ecstatic massive area boys who intermittently hailed the former Chairman of the council also had Alh. Muniru Olori – Aje as Chief Host, Alh. Abdulrahman Afolabi, the coordinator, AMIS Ibadan North West chapter, Mr. Isaac Folohunso, the President Ogunpa-Ajumose-Onireke Traders’ Association and listless of members of the Unity Forum and ADC across Ibadan South West and North West local government areas in attendance.
