The Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Oyo State House of Assembly and the Clerk, Oyo state house of Assembly are the first, second and third defendants in the matter respectively.

The court also on Wednesday rejected an application by the lawmaker representing Oorelope constituency, Lateef Adebunmi who sorted the consent of the court to be joined in the suit as the fourth co-defendant in the matter.
Also, the court earlier rejected the application for adjournment of the matter by the claimants counsel, Chief Fashanu on the ground that, the House of Assembly in obvious disregard to subsisting status quo order had directed the state Chief Judge, Justice Muntar Abimbola to set up a investigative panel for Olaniyan.
