A former House of Representatives, Honourable Kola Olabiyi, has congratulated Chief Bayo Adelabu over his nomination as minister to represent Oyo State in the Federal Executive Council.

Olabiyi, who represented Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency between 2011 and 2015, said the nomination of Adelabu spoke volumes about the trust and confidence President Bola Tinubu has in the former CBN Deputy Governor.

The former lawmaker thanked President Tinubu for picking the best material that will add steel and granite to the quick realization of his Renewed Hope Agenda.

“On behalf of my family and Kola Olabiyi Vanguard, we hereby congratulate you on your appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“This appointment clearly shows the trust and confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has in your ability to perform as demonstrated during your tenure as an Executive Director at First Bank and the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

“We are therefore proud of your rise to this envious position of a cabinet member. You are truly a good ambassador of Oyo State.

“I do not doubt that you will bring your exceptional skills, vision, integrity, and loyalty to bear in this pivotal role. Your pedigree as a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria will serve as assets that are needed in the discharge of your responsibilities.

“Accept, Hon Minister assurances of my highest consideration,” Olabiyi said in a letter of congratulations to Adelabu.

The ex-lawmaker, who is a chartered accountant with about 30 years post-qualification experience, urged Nigerians to continue to show understanding with President Tinubu, assuring them that the fruits of his various economic reforms will start to show forth soon.
