The group sounded this in a release unanimously signed and made available to the media by the notable leaders of the bloc across the 10 local government areas of the geo-political zone.

The development, OYO INSIGHT understands, is in reaction to a statement credited to a faction of the group which it said had formally returned to the fold of the APC before and during the last general elections.

The statement said “those who recently choked the media spaces of their return to APC from Okeogun Unity Forum are either aliens or unknown to the organization before the conduct of the last gubernatorial election.

“It is imperative to set the record straight that the beleaguered group in the opposition APC claiming to be newly returning to the party had long ditched dominant structure which predominantly promotes African Democratic Congress, ADC.”

“The list of promoters of the acclaimed faction as hailed in the media was of those unprincipled political pirates who were gratified with an undisclosed humongous millions of naira in the twilight of the last gubernatorial election in Lagos by an APC leader to work for the success of the APC candidates.”

The communique therefore implored the unsuspecting members of the assembly mostly the staunch adherents of late Lam Adesina’s political lineage to disregard any development except from the leadership of Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu regarding the future of the Unity Forum in the state.

In conclusion, the development reiterated the commitment of the entire Unity Forum members across the 33 local government areas of the state to the all inclusive administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde in bettering the lots of all and sundry with people friendly socio – economic policies.
