Oyo State Police command has arrested three more members of the gang that robbed the First bank branch at Okeho.
This was revealed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi.
According to Fadeyi, the three new suspects were arrested with the cooperation of vigilante, local hunters and members of the community.
This new arrest brings the total number of suspected members of the robbery gang who robbed the bank that are now in police custody to five.
Fadeyi also stated that all five suspects are now being interrogated by the Special Anti Robbery Squad in Ibadan.
OYOINSIGHT.COM reported that the gang robbed the bank last week, firing a dynamite to blow the security door open.
They gained entry and accessed the strong room.
However, while escaping they were pursued by local hunters, vigilantes and members of other security agencies in the town.
Their 18-seater bus summersaulted due to overspending, giving room for some of them to be arrested. Three of them were set ablaze immediately by the angry mob while others escaped in different directions.
A police man was also killed during the incident.
