Akinola, who is vying for the house for representatives seat of Egbeda/Ona-Ara federal constituency said that Sanusi deserves every honour that comes his way as he has paid his dues.

According to Akinola in a personally signed statement, Sanusi has continued to bring smiles to the faces of people not only in their local government of Ona-Ara but across and beyond Oyo State.

“While I join family, friends and admirers to celebrate this one-in-a-century man, I like to highlight some of his key contributions and those are the things that motivated me to join politics initially. I first heard about this man some decades back in the oil sector. I didn’t know initially that he is of the same Ibadan with him until about 10 years ago. What he has done, only few people have been documented to have done it.

“At a time when Akanran and the entire Ona-Ara looked bleak, this man came, risked his money and started opening up the whole place. His Ilaji hotel and sports resort has put out local government in the world map. His many efforts aimed at journey to and out of Ona Ara smooth have been top notch and this is because he believes government can’t do everything.

“Not only those who come across him, he has taken his philanthropy to even those who don’t know him. For him, humanity supersedes every other consideration. Other things that thrill me about him is his constant support for orphans, the motherless, aged, market women and communities. His investments, which span oil, agriculture, education, hospitality, sports, have taken people out of poverty and put food on the table for majority.

“All these numerous interventions haven’t gone unnoticed and he has been honoured within and outside. This latest honour is just the biggest of honour and I pray God continues to be with him. Congratulations to the latest Okanlomo Oodua, ” Akinola added.
