A former member of the House of Representatives, Honourable Kola Olabiyi, has described the deceased Accord candidate in ATISBO/Saki East/Saki West Federal Constituency, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, as a committed ambassador of Oke Ogun who gave his best for the zone and humanity.
In a condolence statement, Olabiyi, who heads the Directorate of Election Processes and Management of the Bayo Adelabu Campaign Organisation, said Accord was already looking forward to the victory of Ogunmola as the most popular and the most loved candidate in the race.
“I saw him last in Ibadan on November 30. We spoke about the ransacking of his house by some hoodlums and thanked God he was not in the house when they came for him.
“I advised him to ensure he finds time to rest well in the midst of hectic campaign schedule and he assured me he always resting.
“Out of the 14 House of Representatives seats in the state, his own is one for which we were already thinking about a victory party. But God knows best.
“Ogunmola was a philanthropist of note, always doing well for people. He served the people very diligently and compassionately as council chairman.
“He was an unrelenting advocate for Oke-Ogun and demonstrated unquenchable commitment to the development of the zone.
“Indeed, Oke Ogun, Accord family and Oyo State has lost one of his brightest stars in Ogunmola,” Olabiyi said.
While condoling the Accord guber candidate,Oloye Bayo Adelabu and Ogunmola’s immediate family for the painful loss, he prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and strength for the wife and children to bear the irreplaceable loss.
