“As contained in the previous reports on the subject, the OGF Representatives had a meeting with the Oyo Anglican family, whose Clergy/Priest the husband/father of the victims is at the Bishop’s courts. There, the intention of the forum to seek redress on the matter with the Police was officially conveyed to the family.

“Recall also, that a report of our visitation to the victims at LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso where the victims were receiving medical attention and the gift given to the the husband by a stakeholder, but in the name of the forum was also availed us here.”

The team also petitioned the Commissioner of police in the state.

However, the statement read further, “At the suspicion of attempt to carpet the forum petitions by the police force, the legal team provided by M.O. After series of meeting between the OGF team and the Poice, the Police force agreed to pay 600 thousand naira which is about 80 percent of the total medical bill of the patients.

“The need for caution by the police behind the wheel was hammered by the OGF team and same was promised by the DPO, who presided over the meetings,” the statement added.
