Ogbomoso PDP Rep Candidate, Onireti Suspends Campaign Over Makinde’s Directive On Fuel, Naira Crises

    The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives candidate for Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Olufemi Oladokun Onireti has today suspended his ward-to-ward campaign which he started last Monday.

    Onireti in a press release personally signed by him and made available to newsmen said ” the suspension of our ward-to-ward campaign which we started on Monday has been suspended with immediate effect until further notice and this is in compliance with the directive of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde. It may interest you to know that today is the turn of Osupa Ward where I hailed from but I can not allow my interest to override the general interest”.

    He noted that the suspension is to show solidarity with the good people of Ogbomoso North, South, and Oriire Federal Constituency on their plight over fuel and the Naira Crisis which has made life difficult for them in the last two weeks.

    He further urges the Federal Government to ensure that necessary measures are put in place to ameliorate the suffering emanating from the fuel and new naira scarcity
