In Ogbomoso, Buhari Urges Continuous Prayers For Nigeria Leaders

The lawmaker representing Oyo North in The Senate, Dr AbdulFatai Buhari has admonished Nigerians to continuously pray for those in position of authorities.

Buhari, who chairs the Senate committee of ICT and cybercrime, spoke in Ogbomoso, his hometown, venue of the  6th annual Abdulfatai Buhari Ramadan lecture. 

The lecture which predates Senator Abdulfatai Buhari’s emmergence as a Senator is an annual event organized to  further projects Islamic religion and educate people on issues according to the dictate of Islam.

Urging Nigerians to imbibe patience and perseverance as virtues, the former member of the House of Representatives explained that  “patience is a gift from God and an attribute great people, and those who want to succeed in life should seek” adding that “it should be one of the guiding principles of everybody.”

“Being patience will help us to learn and acquire more knowlegde, understand better, grow faster and achieve greatness.”

“As citizens of this great Nation, we should not only be patient but also continue to pray for the leadership of the nation for effective leadership that we desire.”

Earlier in his lecture, the guest lecturer, Sheikh Suleiman Habibulahi Al-Madan, said patience, perseverance and contentment are great attributes people who love and understand God must possess.

According to him, “The Holy Prophet Muhammed doesn’t only preach patience and contenment, he also exhibited the great virtue and urged his followers to emulate.

The Islamic scholar who lauded what he called the lawmaker’s genuine efforts towards projecting Islam in Nigeria, while calling on privileged people in position of authorify to emulate him.

A former chief of staff to former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, Dr Saka Balogun who was the chairman on the occasion, eulogized BuharI for making people happy in his constituency,  urging him not to relent in his effort.
