Fele, as Oyerinde was fondly called, died on August 21st, 2018 in an Abuja hospital, at age 57 and was buried the second day.

Confirming this, NURTW national president, Alhaji Najeem Yasin, who spoke on Wednesday at the 8th day Fidau prayers for the deceased, reaffirmed that the acting chairman will complete the current term of late chairman of the union.

The development, OYO INSIGHT learnt, is to douse tensions within the union.

Late Fele’s current tenure, OYO INSIGHT reliably gathered, would end in August 2019.

Ejiogbe, according to Yasin, would complete the tenure and handover to the new executive at the end of his term.
