It was a joyous moment for Oyo State commissioner for youth and sports, Mr. Seun Fakorede, as Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC, Football Club, secured an away victory against Abia Comets.
It was 3SC’s first away game and second game of the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League season. The Oluyole soccer lords had last week defeated visiting Go Round FC 3-0 at the Adamasingba Stadium.
At today’s match played at Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, Taiwo Muritala opened the scoring sheet for the visitors in the 12th minutes courtesy of a free kick. Olafimihan Gafar doubled the lead in the 38th minutes. The homers later equalized in the second half after which 3SC scored the the third goal making it 3-2 in favor of the visitors.
Fakorede who spoke to the team via the phone, commended them for the victory, charging them not to rest on their oars.
