Aborisade told newsmen on the sideline of a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) meeting held in Ibadan on Saturday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Aborisade was at the PDP meeting in Ibadan North-East Federal Constituency to declare interest to run for House of Representative seat.

He said that the nation needed to be restructured and govern by a changed constitution to attain national growth as well as development.

“The constitution is not working for us. There is need for restructuring. Unless this country restructure nothing can work.

“The unwholesome federalism is failing woefully. So, things must change and that is why I am going into politics, particularly where we can make laws. That is House of Representatives,” he said.

Aborisade said that nothing would work in the country without proper restructuring, saying it was a reason some of them in the diaspora are returning to effect the desired change in Nigeria.

He decried the spate of insecurity in the country, calling on the federal, state and local government to evolve proactive strategies aimed at curtailing it.

The UK-based lawyer expressed readiness to contribute meaningfully to national development through the House of Representatives.

“I look at the schools, I look at the environment and even the water we are drinking. I don’t see what they are doing about poverty alleviation. We need a change.

“I have the experience. I am capable of doing it. There is a way, the political will is what was very important,” he said.
