As Nigerians celebrate 63rd Independence Day today, a call has gone to Federal government to come up with more beneficial policies that will help in achieving positive responses to the plights of the downtrodden masses.
This appeal was contained in a release issued and made available to Journalists earlier today to rejoice with people of Oyo North Senatorial District and Nigeria on the occasion of Independence.
While lauding the unforgettable sacrifices of the past heroes of the country that fought selflessly for Nigeria Independence, Senator Buhari said the day is worthy of celebration because Independence has brought unlimited development to the country.
Senator Buhari said Oyo North has benefitted immensely from the self-governed and sovereign Nigeria with government impacts that had developed the district educationally, politically, economically, socially and culturally.
He stated that the district in the current republic though with challenges not too different from what every other Senatorial District in the country is facing has many reasons to celebrate Nigeria Independence.
The lawmaker assured people of the district that he will continue to intensify his efforts through the national assembly and other means to ensure dividends of democracy and development are brought to the district.
He admonished people of Oyo North never to relent in their prayers for more dividends of democracy for the enjoyment of all and sundry in the Senatorial District.
