A former Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Mr. Kayode Adanla has felicitated with residents on the occasion of the new year and prayed against the uncontrollable outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Adanla, in a statement made available to newsmen described 2020 as an unprecedented year filled with challenges.
“From the start to its grimy end, no year in mankind’s history has shown the world startling clarity of despair & nastiness as the year 2020.
“Our tepid faith ain’t enough obeisance and thus we would always owe you a huge debt in adoration, praise and worship.
“We beseech you, O Allah, please let us never, again, be caught in the snare of Covid-19 in the year 2021.
“May the new year be restorative, profitable and joyous,”he wrote.
