National Council of Muslim Youth Organization, NACOMYO has appealed to Oyo State Governor, Engr.Seyi Makinde not to fall to some pressures to return schools to the missionaries.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ibadan by Oyo state Coordinator of NACOMYO Alh.Dawood Afolabi on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
NACOMYO said those who are advising the governor on returning of schools are enemies of the state as such will bring crisis and as well deprive children of the masses from enjoying quality education.
The organization urged Muslims to use the occasion of the Eid to pray for peace and progress in the State and the country
NACOMYO enjoined Muslims to maximize the teaching and doctrine of Ramadan by remaining steadfast in piety throughout the year.
The organisation noted that since heaven did not fall when the believers demonstrated some level of devotions during the month of Ramadan adding that returning to evil ways could be likened to a dog eating its vomit .
NACOMYO used the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of some individuals to the propagation of Islam and they include Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo & Delta, Alh.Daud Akinola De-damak ,Seriki Musulumi of Yorubaland, Alh.Yekinni Adeojo , Babasale Musulumi, Alh.Lateef Oyelade , Alh. Rashidi Adesokan and Asiwaju Adinni of Oyo State, Alh.Mutiullah Oladejo Onimalu.
