Popularly known as Ishola Motors, he died a decade ago at 102 years.
He was officially the first distributor of Peugeot Automobile Nigeria, PAN, in south west with the commissioning of his Ishola Motors office in 1974.
Apart from being the first major distributor of SCOA motors, he was the first individual to sell tokunbo motors too.
He was the first Aare Musulumi of Oyoland before the League of Imams in Oyo state conferred on him as the first Aare Musulumi of Oyo State in 1983. This was because of the fact that he loved spending his wealth on Islam
Survived by many wives and children, many Muslims in his hometown of Oyo benefited from his philanthropic gestures as he sent them to Makkah for holy pilgrimage. From 1960 when he first performed pilgrimage, there was never a year he did not perform hajj and lesser hajj till 2000. This, he performed, with children, wives and kinsmen.
His love for Oyo made him established all his companion in the town. He was the founder and the chairman of Ishola Petroleum and other automobile businesses, all in the ancient town.
He hailed from the big Agboluaje family of Ile Igboowa and Ile Imam of Oyo town and his best friends were lage Alhaji Olona Iseyin and Alhaji Owotutu of Igbo-Ora, who died recently. Late Mufu Lanihun, AbdulAzeez Arisekola and Jimoh Inaolaji were close to him.
