    The Oyo South Senatorial Candidate under the Accord Party, Mr Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, has reiterated that he’s joined Oyo South Senatorial race for the sake of the people of the senatorial district who have been enduring the misrepresentation of the past three years. He made this reiteration while fielding questions on a program, The Conversation, on Splash 105.5 FM.

    The youthful Senatorial Hopeful assured the people of his district that he’s in the race to win and to serve them. The anchor of the program, Mr Seun Akinola, asked Kola-Daisi what his legislative agenda were. In his response, Kola-Daisi said the people of Oyo South senatorial district, especially the youths, were at the core of his legislative agenda. He emphasized that his major aim was to eradicate poverty in his district and to engender enduring financial empowerment to the teeming youths and the elderly.

    On restructuring, Kolapo Kola-Daisi opined that he’s for any restructuring that would ensure the inclusiveness of all people irrespective of tribes and religions and he went ahead to admonish political parties to start playing politics of inclusiveness.

    Reacting to the questions on how to eradicate poverty, unemployment and underemployment, Mr Kolapo Kola-Daisi asserted that private investments must be encouraged in terms of providing necessary support and tax incentives and holidays so that they could survive and give employments to multitudes of graduates being produced yearly by our tertiary institutions.

    He advised the Federal Government to prioritize widening the tax net over increasing taxes as he stated that more funds would be generated when more people were captured in the tax net.

    Kola-Daisi rounded off the interview by calling for voter’s education in the areas of how to vote and to vote rightly. He advised voters to shun instant gratification and to place premium on future dividends of democracy that would benefit their next generations.
