Three-term member of the house of representatives, Hon. Muraina Ajibola Saubana, was missing yesterday when members of the national assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from Oyo State, visited Governor Seyi Makinde.

However, Dr. Adebayo Adepoju Anthony, Saubana’s kinsman and ZLP’s candidate in the 2019 house of representatives in Ibarapa North and Central federal constituency, was in attendance.

OYOINSIGHT.COM learnt that Adepoju, who lives in the same estate with Makinde in Ibadan, is now chairman of the Water Corporation of Oyo State, WCOS, an appointment he got after defecting to the PDP.

OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that Makinde and Saubana have been at loggerheads over the control of the party in the state, especially Ibarapa North and Central where the lawmaker represents.

Though a statement by the governor’s media office did not give reason why the lawmaker was absent, his colleagues however, passed a vote of confidence in Governor ‘Seyi Makinde, praising him for the unprecedented achievements of the government in the last two years.

At the meeting were Senator Kola Balogun; House of Representatives members representing Ibadan North-East/South- East, Hon. Abass Adigun Agboworin; Ibarapa East/Ido, Hon. Adewale Oluyemi Taiwo and Ibadan North-West/South-West, Hon. Adedeji Stanley Olajide.
