Engr Lere Adigun, Governor Seyi Makinde’s top man, is dead.
OYOINSIGHT.COM learnt that Baba Sahara, as he was fondly called, died yesterday afternoon at age 79.
He would be buried account to Islamic rites at 3pm today.
A golfer, he was the pioneer chairman of Ibadan Week planning committee. He was once vice-president of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, CCII, former president of the Ibadan Foundation and a distinguished member Of Ibadan Solidarity Group (ISG).
A former president of CCII, Asiwaju Nurudeen Akinade said Adigun, who was also called Baba Seyi Makinde, drove his truck from Germany to Nigeria through Sahara desert and succeeded in immortalizing his name in the Guinness book of Records many years ago.
