Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde has released a sum of N100million naira for the renovation of the damaged Soun of Ogbomoso’s palace.
Makinge stated this in Ogbomoso earlier today when he went to ascertain the extent of the damage at Soun’s palace.
He also promised to replace some of the damaged vehicles.
He will also visist the Police station and the parents of Isiaka Jimoh and other victims of last weekend mayhem in the town
Makinde who arrived at about 11 am was conducted round the palace by the palace secretary Mr Toyin Ajamu where he expressed dissatisfaction with the extent of damage
The Governor was accompanied by some of his aides including Chief of staff, Speaker Oyo state House of Assembly Head of Service, commissioners, Membere Oyo state House of Assembly,Chairman Governor’s Advisory council among others
The governor while speaking at Isiaq Jimoh’s residence commiserated with them and promised to support the family.
Jimoh Isiaq’s father thanked Governor Makinde for his support and urge him to help the community to secure the bail of people arrested by police.
“Hooliganism persists in this area because most of our youths are jobless, please help us give them jobs, Ita Alasa is the epicenter of politics in Ogbomoso.
Makinde was also at the area command office owode where he inspected the extent of damage and promise to support in renovation of the station.
Gov Makinde also urged the angry youths to be patience and promises to see to their request of job creation and release of detained people.
