The people of Oke Ogun area of Oyo State have been assured of a better condition of living if the Peoples Democratic Party wins the governorship election.

The party’s governorship candidate, Mr  Seyi Makinde, made the pledge while on a campaign tour of Oke Ogun on Thursday.

He said the 31-year-old abandoned Modeke Dam in Igboho, Oorelope Local Government Area, would be completed to provide potable water for the community and its environs.

Makinde, who paid homage to the Onigboho of Igboho, Oba John Bolarinwa, said his government, in conjunction with his running mate, Rauf Olaniyan, who initiated the project while in office as Director, DFRRI, would ensure speedy completion of the abandoned project.

He said, “We have vowed not to deceive the people. We want to be held accountable for everything we are saying now when we get to office.”
