The Oyo state government has approved the redeployment of 25 former staff of Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State and 58 former staff of Board of internal revenue who were deployed by the immediate past administration of former governor Abiola Ajimobi, to ministries and agency by the last administration back to their respective agencies.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that veteran broadcaster, Mr. Wale Rufai, who has spent close to three decades in BCOS, and others had been redeployed to Cultural Centre.
This were revealed by Commissioner for information of Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun after a carefully review of the request of the affected workers by the committee presented at the state executive meeting.
He said since the Governor Seyi Makinde led administration came on board, petition and request have been made by workers who redeployed from their former place of work to ministries and agencies by the last administration hence the need for the present administration to set up committee to look into it.
The committee in its report presented at the state executive meeting which was revealed to journalists by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun said government gave approval for 25 workers of former staff of the Bcos and 58 staff of the Board of Internal revenue back to their respective agencies.
Olatubosun said the government is committed to transform BCOS hence the need for the appointment of Prince Dotun Oyelade as Executive Chairman of the Corporation.
