‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, on Thursday took a swipe at politicians who have started scheming to succeed him in 2027.
According to the governor, he was concerned about delivering the dividends of democracy.
OYOINSIGHT.COM understands that two of the fourteen house of representatives members from Oyo State are eyeing to succeed Makinde in 2027 and already working on the aspiration.
“As we commission this project, it is another time to remind the good people of Oyo State to stay with the vision. Do not be distracted by people who do not have your best interest at heart. We can already see them starting 2027 propaganda. It is not even a year after the last election.
“Well, for now, we are concentrating on delivering good governance to our people and not what will or nor happen in 2027. We are determined to deliver on our 2023 mandate and ensure that good governance continues in our dear state.
“As for those who are already planning to succeed me in 2027, God will see us through beyond 2027, and he will choose the best for our state.”
