“All glories of the Institution will be restored and those who fight for its emancipation will be honoured,” he said.

According to Makinde, freedom of association is one of the hallmarks of democracy and student unionism is actually a traditional tool to a free society but bringing barracks mentality into the citadel of knowledge shows how deep the current administrative have sunk in our darling state.

According to Makinde, the union president, general secretary and public relations officer who have been unjustly punished should count themselves lucky for being symbols of everyday oppression in the state and the incoming administration will not forget their exploits and those of their colleagues
