A renowned broadcaster, Alhaji Waheed Akintayo (a.k.a. Ilumoka Presenter) has described the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde as an uncommon Administrator who epitomizes the good governance in the State.
Waheed Akintayo who is a prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oluyole Local Government area stated this while congratulating Governor Makinde on the occasion of his two years in office as the Executive Governor, and celebration of Nigeria’s democracy day, saying that the Governor has justified the confidence reposed in him when he was massively voted for in the 2019 general elections.

Makinde’s enviable governance is laced with achievements that cut across the state, stressing that “the level at which Governor Makinde has taken Oyo State to in a short while is worthy of celebration by all the lover of good governance.
He pointed out that Governor Seyi Makinde has been engineering a modern Oyo State since assumption of office and that this is evident in the list of infrastructural projects the Governor has executed within the last two years.
According to him, “Governor Makinde’s result-oriented administration has ushered in life-touching projects he has commissioned which include Moniya-Iseyin road, Challenge-Felele junction, newly reconstructed Akesan market as well as ongoing Airport Ajia road, Apete-Awotan Akufo road, General Gas flyover.”
in the area of education, the Governor has secured sole ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), a feat which the past administrations could not achieve, reduction of the institution’s fees by 25%, free distribution of educational materials to students, cancelation of 3,000 imposed on students by the last administration, construction of 26 model schools among other modest projects already executed has shown that the state is being governed by a knowledge driven public administrator per excellence, with human face.”
Waheed Akintayo who commended members of the State executives that have been working with the Governor, specifically mentioned the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Mojeed Mogbanjubola (Jagaban) and Dr Gbola Adetunji, Chairman Oyo State Hospital Management Board, saying that the duo have proved themselves as worthy ambassadors from Oluyole Local Government with their commitment to the success of Engr Seyi Makinde led administration.
While praying God to grant Governor Seyi Makinde more power, wisdom and sound health for more record-breaking achievements, Waheed Akintayo (Ilumoka Presenter) enjoined people of the state to continue to support the Governor in his quest to take Oyo State to greater heights and to be the foremost in the comity of states.
