Engr Seyi Makinde has appreciated Sen. Monsurat Sunmonu’s contribution to his emergence as Oyo State governor-elect.
Makinde, in a paid congratulatory advertorial on Sunmonu’s 60th birthday, described the Oyo’s female speaker and female senator as a rare gem.
Sunmonu, who sought re-election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, after defecting from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, is believed to be instrumental to the coalition process that produced Makinde as joint candidate of the major opposition parties during the March 9, 2019 governorship election in the state.
