The only physically challenged individual among the hundreds of aspirants in the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the Local government and councillorship elections in the state, Nurudeen Wasiu has explained why he decided to contests.
Wasiu, an aspirant for the councillorship seat of Ward 8, Ibadan North local government, told OYOINSIGHT that he has what it taked to represent his ward that any of his opponents.
According to him, his physical state is not a disability that will prevent him from serving his constituents.
“I am the only physically challenged throughout 33 local government in oyo state contesting for the councillorship.
“Because I believe that my disabilities doesn’t mean inability which I can perform more able person,” he said.
He added that he is also inspired by the Seyi Makinde-led administration’s effort to run a government of inclusiveness.
