LCU PG School Matriculates 345 Students

The Vice Chancellor of Lead City University, Ibadan, Professor K.A. Adeyemo, has warned matriculating students into the Postgraduate School of the institution to be ready to face the consequences of their action either individually or collectively. Professor Adeyemo sounded this note of warning while giving his matriculation speech at the 2nd Postgraduate Induction for 2021/2022 Academic Session held at Adeline Hall inside the institution on Wednesday, 30th June, 2021.

Explaining further, the vice chancellor advised the matriculants to take their studies seriously and to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations already made and to be made to guide their conducts. He went on to say that Lead City University, as the premier private university in Oyo state, was poised to take postgraduate education to an enviable level with innovative and world-class teaching and research approaches.

Earlier, the Registrar of Lead City University, who doubles as the Secretary to the Council, Dr (Mrs) Oyebola Ayeni, had called on the vice chancellor to declare the Assembly open immediately after which the vice chancellor, Professor Adeyemo, addressed the matriculants. After the vice chancellor’s address, the registrar invited the deans of faculties of the institution to present their matriculating students to the vice chancellor. After the vice chancellor had admitted the students, the matriculants on the directive of the registrar took their matriculation oath as the vice chancellor declared the Assembly closed.

A total number of 345 students from different faculties were matriculated while the event was compered by the Director of Corporate Communications and Students Services, Dr Ayobami Owolabi.

Present at the matriculation event included the Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, the School Bursar, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, the Provost of the College of Medicine, the Librarian, and other principal officers.
