Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, are ready for showdown over the planned increment in their school fees.
OYO INSIGHT had reported how the management planned to increased the few payable by students of the institution jointly owned by the government of Osun and Oyo.
Writing on his social media account, the students union president who is simply identified as Laurel urged the students to be calm, adding that the union “is not aware of the notification and the resolution of the meeting with the governing council,” claiming it is “rumour.”
He added that “necessary consultation is going on with the union body and appropriate action will be taken.”
He later wrote “No to increment of tuition fees,” “#fundLAUTECH,” and “LAUTECH students say no to tuition fee increment.”
