Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), Oyo State African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate has berated Governor Abiola Ajimobi for neglecting the Oke-Ogun zone in the last eight years of his administration.

Lanlehin, who spoke at the Saki Day Celebration on Saturday, wondered why the state government hasn’t deemed it fit to construct the Ibadan-Iseyin-Saki road despite the huge potentials abounding in that axis.

“As I was coming from Ibadan, and seeing the level of dilapidation of the road, I told myself that the Ibadan-Iseyin-Saki road would be one of our first projects”, Lanlehin said.

Lamenting the neglect of the Saki Polytechnic too, Senator Lanlehin noted that no government which truly loves the Saki people will abandon such an institution, as it served as the commercial nerve centre of Saki town.

“We shall fund Saki Polytechnic adequately, and indeed all tertiary institutions in Oyo State. We shall renovate and refurbish its facilities using our local contractors”.

“If that’s done, benefits will trickle down to the people, and things will run smoothly”, Lanlehin averred.

Assuring the Saki people that the Okerete market would be transformed into an international market capable of attracting investors the world over, he sought to know how many investors Governor Ajimobi had attracted to the state despite his frequent overseas trips.

Warning the people to maintain vigilance during voting, counting and collation, so as to prevent whatever sinister plans the opposition was orchestrating, Lanlehin intimated them that the handshake, which was the logo of the ADC already showed a party committed to friendship, togetherness and unity, stating the party would work determinedly to maintain that appellation.

Senator Lanlehin was accompanied to the event by his running mate, Alh Saheed Adejare Alaran, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Oyo North ADC senatorial candidate, Hon Musa Abdulwasi, Oyo Assembly Deputy Speaker and Saki East/West and Atisbo Federal Constituency candidate.

Others included Arch Bashiru Lawal, DG, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Hon Tajudeen Olori, ADC candidate, Iwajowa State Constituency, Hon Afeez Adeleke, Member representing Iseyin State Constituency, Alh Muslim Oyedemi (Monsieur) and Alh Rafiu Afuku.
