Lam’s Foundation To Reward 4 ‘Green Persons’ With N1m

Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation, promoted late former governor Lamidi Adesina’s last child, Mr. Adetunji Lam-Adesina will tonight four individuals with the sum of one million naira.
The award ceremony coincides with the official launch of the foundation.
The activities is one of the plans lined up to remember the late politician who, OYOINSIGHT.COM recalls, died almost 7 years ago, on the eleventh day of November, 2012.
The young Lam-Adesina, while speaking with this newspaper, said he is honouring his late father with the name of the foundation “because if not for the blessings of the Almighty and the excellent training from my parents, I wouldn’t have grown up to understand that we must live to help our society, that legacy is very important in life and that we must love our neighbors as ourselves.”
He said “Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation is a philanthropic organisation on the sustainability of the environment through public advocacy and empowerment-support for entrepreneurs and small businesses who have innovative, creative and sustainable ideas, products and services which seeks to reverse the adverse effects been inflicted on the environment, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.”
He explained further that environmentalists from different parts of the world and other dignitaries would be in attendance.
Awards and cash prizes would be given to winners in categories like Africa green person of the year, 2019 green female award, under 40 green award and the green essay competition.
The green awards which is the first sole environmental award in Nigeria seeks to recognise and celebrate extraordinary contributions of young people and individuals who have demonstrated leadership and championed the necessity for a healthier and safer environment or made significant contributions to the enhancement of the agricultural sector.
