Lagelu Grammar School ’87 Old Boys At 35, Commission Projects, Offer Scholarship, Gifts To Students


In what served as fulfilling a pledge of “wherever I go, whatever I be, I will always uphold your name” part of the school anthem, the name of Lagelu Grammar School has not stopped resonating among her peers in Oyo State and Nigeria.

And in a way of giving back to their alma mater, the noble, distinguished, and prestigious 1982-1987 Old Boys of the school has concluded plans in tremendous ways to uplift the school once again with their numerous projects to be commissioned as a set and as well as other personal contributions that some eminent old boys are set to present to the school on Monday, 11th July, 2022 at the Ayo Labiyi Hall of the school at 10.00 am prompt

Recall that the noble ’87 set under the leadership of the former CBN Deputy Governor, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, FCA, OFR held her election some weeks ago, and it produced Distinguished Lagelite Ibukun Ogunniran as the new chairman of the set, who will take over from Adelabu, who is Accord’s governorship candidate in fhe 2023 election.

DL Ibukun Ogunniran, a seasoned publisher and a Registered Professional Advertising Practitioner has for a number of years been the scribe of the set, which earned him the massive support to lead the set in the next administrative years.

Among the projects to be commissioned and onward handover to the school are; Unveiling of 15 Brand New HP Desktop Computers with full installation by Idea Konsult, Commissioning of Modern and Well Equipped Creative Arts Studio, 8-Room Modern Toilets Facilities for Students and Teachers, offering of scholarship to indigenous and deserving students by some individual set members, and host of many other gifts and awards on the pipeline.
