Former Governor Rashidi Ladoja’s political party, Zenith Labour Party, Oyo State, on Thursday asked God to grant the Governor-elect, Mr. Seyi Makinde the willpower and wisdom to fulfill all electoral promises to the people of the state.
Rising from a five-hour meeting attended by the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Chief Sharafadeen Alli; the Senatorial, House of Representatives and the state Assembly candidates at the ZLP office, Samonda Ibadan, the Chairman, Comrade Wole Abisoye congratulated Makinde on ‘his well deserved victory’.
The party which lauded its leader, Ladoja for spearheading the alliance which ousted the APC led government in the state, also commended Alli, and others in the alliance, for the sacrifice they made to ‘enthrone people’s governor’.
Abisoye also commended the people of the state for embracing the last minute coalition which threw up Makinde, adding that, ‘of special recognition was the unbiased posture of all security agencies and professionalism displayed by Mr. Mutiu Agboke-led Independent National Electoral Commission, in Oyo state.”
