Following the suspension of its chairman, Dr Ahmed Ayinla and seven other executives of the partly in Oyo State, the leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has appointed Rev Ezekiel Adeniran as its acting chairman.
OYO INSIGHT had reported how the state working committee of the party suspended the affected executives for anti-party and indiscipline before and during the just concluded election.
According to a statement signed by the national secretary of the party, Alhaji Said Abdullahi, who doubles as the Chairman,
National Reconciliation, Harmonisation and Ethinic Committee (South ), Ayinla and others remain suspended till the ratification of his expulsion by National Working Committee, NWC, and National Executive Council, NEC of the party.
Those suspended alongside the chairman are Comrade Ademola Adedapo (state publicity secretary), Engr. Awojobi Akolade (state organizing secretary), Hon. Luqman Adeoye (state youth leader), Alhaji Sodiq Remi (assistant organising secretary), Alhaji Alarape Ismael (assistant financial secretary), Hon. Delesolu Mojeed (assistant state secretary) and Alhaji Sikiru Oladdipo (ex-officio).

THE CRISIS IN AFRICAN DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (ADC)- OYO STATE CHAPTER.
The National Reconciliation, Harmonisation and Ethinic Committee of African Democratic Congress (SOUTH), received a notification of Oyo State Executive meetings’ resolution of Wednesday 20th March, 2019.
The notification was received through the office of National Chairman of our Great Party, African Democratic Congress, and was dated 22nd March,2019.
The following decisions were taken by National Reconciliation, Harmonisation and Ethinic Committee, after extensive deliberations and consultations:
1. The ratification of the report by Extended Oyo State Executive, is in tandem with the spirit of the Constitution of African Democratic Congress (ADC).
2. Further disciplinary action vis-a-vis expulsion from the Party was also recommended and forwarded to NWC/ NEC of our Great Party, African Democratic Congress.
3. Meanwhile, Rev. Ezekiel Adeniran, shall be piloting the affairs of African Democratic Congress- Oyo State Chapter in Acting Capacity, until further directive.
