Oorelope Local Government has recorded sixteen new cases of COVID-19.
This was announced in a statement signed by Dr. I. A Ayantola on behalf of the COVID-19 taskforce in the local government.
The statement reads: “The test results of16 persons conducted in the Local Government came out positive.They are all asymptomatic but confirmed.
“We have contacted victims and compelled them to self-Isolate.We have provided them with immune boosters and keep them under constant watch.
“We have commenced contact tracing, especially on their family members. We have made provision for a temporary isolation ward at one of our PHC centres in case of severe cases before relocation to isolation center for further management.
“We have resumed aggressive campaign and sensitization.We enjoin our people to stay calm, stay safe and comply with all COVID-19 preventive protocols.”
