Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the re-modelling of Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan to meet international standard.
The commissioner for youth and sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, who made this known yesterday at his office, noted that there was need for the repositioning of as many possible of the available sports facilities in the state.
The current re-modeling, Fakorede said, is to make the sports complex to be at per with other sports complexes internationally.
He explained further that the project will commence in Adamasingba, stressing that the renovation is essential for the survival and growth of sports and engagement of youths in the state.
According to him, “this again is the first of its kind in Oyo State and I’m sure we are all going to enjoy the developments this laudable project will avail the state by the grace of God.
He thanked the Makinde administration for approving the proposal.
