Nine days after contracting the deadly coronavirus pandemic, a former member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Bolomope, has tested negative.
This is coming few days after his wife, who had tested positive 7 days before him, recovered.
Bolomope, who was once chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the state told OYOINSIGHT.COM that “I had to take the test after my wife tested positive. She had lost appetite and smell. She was confirmed positive. When my test result came too, I tested positive. So I had to go join her at the Olodo Isolation Centre.”
The former lawmaker, who represented Egbeda state constituency between 2011 and 2015 later wrote on a Whatsapp group: “My dear family members, friends, admirers, professional colleagues,I thank ALMIGHTY ALLAH for protecting and healing me from COVID-19. I tested positive and subsequently got admitted at OLODO ISOLATION CENTER for 7 +7DAYS before and after 2020 EiD-EL KABR Festival. Please COVID19 is REAL, IT’S NOT A DEATH SENTENCE.
